In May 2019, we hosted a Bernstein Reimagined concert — and it was an evening of unexpected pairings of Bernstein music and superb, creative musicians. Imagine a bluegrass version of Officer Krupke, or a tap dance to the Brass Quintet.
Hosted by Broadway musical director and radio host, Seth Rudetsky, and singer Andréa Burns (In the Heights, On Your Feed, Next to Normal, Beauty and the Beast), this show was a creative review featuring jazz, classical, bluegrass, spoken word and more — unlike any other Bernstein tribute you’ve ever seen. Take a listen to some highlights below including features from West Side Story, Peter Pan, Wonderful Town, & More.
